My Quick Staycation Tips at Hotel Jen Manila

I'm missing my Hotel Jen staycation so it's obvious that blogging about it is the perfect way to reminisce my great memories there. Hotel Jen, to those who may not be aware, is also under the Shangri-la Hotel Group but the brand is more in tuned with how travelers are aiming to discover, explore and look out for the best things that a city can offer.

What used to be Traders Hotel in Manila is now Hotel Jen, which is the same building just across the Cultural Center of the Philippines, a place where I had many inspiring memories especially when we watch out Aunt's concerts and solo recitals as we were growing up.

And with that, let me give you a quick staycation guide of that you can do at Hotel Jen, especially if you are the type who would like to try something new or is hungry for unique experiences right at the heart of Manila.

1 - Club Lounge at the 19th floor

If you have been wondering where you can find one of the most popular Manila bay sunset views on Instagram, then this is the place. The premier club lounge at Hotel Jen boasts panoramic views that you can only experience in Manila. Some of the perks when hanging out here include:

- exclusive check-in and check-out assistance
- free non-alcoholic drinks all day, consumable at the lounge
- exclusive food set-ups such as the following: daily Breakfast Buffet from 6:00-10:30AM, Afternoon Tea from 2:00-4:00PM and Sunset Cocktails from 5:00 to 7:00PM (while taking note of proper dress codes)

Not only that, you can avail of free use of private meeting rooms, complimentary internet access and free photocopy and printing services too, so it's a good deal especially for business travelers who are visiting the city.

2 - Take a stroll at CCP Complex

Enjoy walking your heart out at the complex of the Cultural Center of the Philippines, where many known artists from around the country and the world celebrate the arts, fashion, film and music. You can also spend some time at the nearby amusement park called Star City, or have some drinks at the Baywalk area, where you can find a few restaurants and bars as well.

3 - Go on a shuttle at SM Mall of Asia

The SM Mall of Asia, as it is called by name, is one of the biggest malls in Asia, where you can basically find anything that you need. They have a supermarket, department store, and lots of establishments and boutiques that you can check out if you are in the mood for splurging. And Hotel Jen offers free shuttles to go there - just ask all about it at the hotel's reception area so they can provide you with the shuttle schedule.

4 - Enjoy buffet goodness at Latitude

Latitude is Hotel Jen's signature restaurant that offers different food choices all day everyday. You may choose to have your daily breakfast, lunch or dinner here. Yum!

Before I checked out, be sure to spare a little more time to hang out at the Club Lounge where the views are just fantastic. Overall, I always have a great stay at Hotel Jen so I hope you will enjoy it too when you book a room here!
