Nines' Picks for 2017: The best hotel in Baguio this year goes to...Grand Sierra Pines Baguio!

It's been months since I last went to Baguio and I am sure that the breeze is super perfect there now that it's December! Although I must admit that traffic is super bad in the city but I still want to come back there...mainly because of the city's homey restaurants, cool artsy places and Grand Sierra Pines Baguio, which I personally think is one of the best hotels in the city at present! A well deserved personal choice to experience the best that Baguio has to offer!

Located at North Outlook Drive, which isn't too far from the city center, Grand Sierra Pines Baguio is your best choice when staying in this lovely city. Here, you'll definitely experience some quiet time, where you can relax, unwind and literally chill! Here, you don't really need to spend too much on accommodation unlike other high-end hotels within the area.

Enjoy not only the best food and accommodation, but even the artworks that are displayed inside the hotel, including priceless paintings from some of the best painters in the country. At times, they even showcase artworks from new and upcoming artists, some of which are mostly based in Baguio.

I mean, just look at our awesome view from where our room is!

The hotel's architecture is a great plus. Just looking at the details of this establishment is worth my time!

Say hello to the beauty of nature!

Love wins, especially when the weather is perfect.

And their food isn't bad either! Choose from Deluxe, Superior and Family Room and enjoy a great breakfast the next morning at The Atrium Lobby Cafe! Check out what we had during our stay some time in March:

Enjoy the usual staples such as these savory fish cakes and embutido.

Missing their bacon!!

These pastries are sweet and satisfying!

They also have their own bakery, so make sure to try their breads too! I had some Monggo bread and Raisin bread for the win!

Breakfast is served!

We also had the best Steak Rice ever, care of our leftovers from The Outlook Steak and Grill, one of the best steakhouses in Baguio City.

My tip: ask their friendly servers to crisp up the bacon for an added crunch --- DIY Bacon Chicharon!

I also enjoyed their Tapa and Longganisa! Yum!

A bowl of Arroz Caldo is also good. Delicious!

This is not only a perfect place to enjoy food, but to hang out as well!

Freshly baked bread with local fruit jams. Sweet!

At night, it also serves as a doog dining destination, where they feature delicious Filipino specialties like this hot Sizzling Sisig.

My forever favorite Sinigang na Baboy!

And super good Crab Fat Rice.

Crispy Pata is always better with carbs. Here, they served it with Baked Potato Wedges.

Strawberries are abundant in Baguio, so you won't be leaving the city without eating food with this fruit. It's decadent and healthy at the same time!

Busybees will also surely enjoy the Spa at Grand Sierra Pines Baguio! I did for sure!

They also have a gym, but it's not for me. Hehe.

The prices are perfect and the quality of their services are amazing.

You can tell that the place is safe and clean!

They have a relaxing chair for footcare services too.

Here's another entrance from the front area of the hotel.

Sometimes, you'd be surprised with performances featuring local traditions and rituals in the region where Baguio is located.

This is the second floor of our family room. The smell of fresh sheets and the nature outside is just so relaxing.

The way the rooms are made is pure genius. It's clear on why this is come to be my favorite hotel in Baguio!

Here's a peek at the first floor of our room. But guests have an option to get just either rooms (a connecting door can be used or unused depending on how many you are)

Never run out of toiletries at Grand Sierra Pines Baguio.

You won't be running out of activities here either! Enjoy some drinks, gaze at the foggy nature around the hotel, take a stroll! You can even request for some hotdogs and marshmallows and roast them by the bonfire.

Current temperatures at that time were 13 degrees Celsius. I LOVE IT!

Meantime, here's what you can expect from The Outlook Steak and Grill:

Cool views in the morning.

Elegance at its finest. Enjoy a cocktail or two in this cozy restaurant.

These Lasagna Nachos Tostadas are a sure hit during our dinner.

Imagine blocks of Mac & Cheese, coated in parmesan and deep fried to perfection. Serve this with Marinara Sauce and you're in mac & cheese heaven!

Truffled Potato Fries, anyone?

Bangers and Chips were part of our massive feast that evening.

Their Angus Beef Salpicao is AH-mazing.

All their steaks are sous vide, so you are sure with the tenderness of the meat with every bite.

This Teriyaki Glazed Salmon Fillet was gone in no time!

It's was a Steak party at The Outlook!

Chicken Parmigiana is one of my favorites, so their Baked Chicken Parmigiana was obviously something I loved!

Another must try is The Outlook's Chicken Fried Steaks - crispy, scrumptious and really flavorful!

And here's another photo of another steak (Sous Vide T-Bone)

The best thing? All these glorious food are washed down with cocktails that's made with some of the finest spirits available.

As for me, I gotta have my glass of red wine.

Baguio, please take me back soon! Hoping for some time to come and visit Grand Sierra Pines Baguio so I could experience one of the best weekends I have had this 2017!
