The Grill Boy is finally serving good Filipino grub at Spark Place in Cubao, Quezon City! Since it opened its doors last August 10, many people have been flocking the place so they can get their hands on some good ol' Filipino comfort food that you just can't beat.

If you haven't really seen it yet, it is because The Grill Boy is located at the 2nd Floor of Cubao's newest office and commercial complex, Spark Place, along P. Tuazon and the corner of 10th Avenue. Spark Place has quickly stamped its claim as one of Cubao's trendiest hot spots by housing other integral establishments needed for every day living.

The said integral establishments within Spark Place are the following: Robinson's Supermarket, Robinson's Appliance Center, and Handy Man Hardware store, making for hassle-free shopping without having to deal with the hustle and bustle of a packed mall. Spark Place also provides basement parking for their customers.

Also, don't be surprised to see celebrity blogger Richie Zamora aka the Pickiest Eater frequenting the place. Not only is her currently busy with The Grill Boy's current operations, but he is actually one of the owners of this humble yet impressive food joint! If you are a legit foodie, then this, my friends, is where you may want to hang out and spot your favorite food bloggers from time to time!

I feel very 'blessed' that The Grill Boy at Spark Place is just a few minutes away from our house. This means more deliciously grilled items and Java Rice for me!
The Grill Boy offers Unli-Rice meals. You would think that it's just the same unli-rice scheme that we Filipinos are accustomed to having in many other restaurants in the metro - but the thing I noticed is that at The Grill Boy, you have the upper hand on how you would like your rice on your first order - choose from Java, Garlic Rice or Plain Rice (which is also used to avail their unlimited rice). Nice, right?
There are lots of grilled items to choose from, including their yummy Pork Barbecue and Grilled Pork Belly (a grilled Filipino favorite), Boneless Chicken Inasal (which is surprisingly good, plus it is cooked perfectly and never dry - you have got to order this), and Grilled Tuna Belly (plump and juicy, flaky good).

Apart from the temptingly delicious grilled items at The Grill Boy, you can also have other interesting choices, and it's just satisfying to know that everything goes well with rice! I was literally calling myself as 'in denial' for having to eat rice at first but I just couldn't help but ask for a small (yes, small) cup after another. It's that good! And yes it's obvious that I can eat so much hahaha!

..and the Pork Sisig, which is already one of my favorites ever! You can choose to have it with a sunny side up egg, or have a raw egg mixed in so that it gets cooked through the sizzling hot plate.

If you want something to warm you up on a cold and rainy day, The Grill Boy also has this hot filling bowl of La Paz Batchoy to keep you company.

Just look at this awesome plate with everything on it! You should know that you're missing out on something good if you don't eat at The Grill Boy.

Oh, and make sure you don't forget to order some dessert too! There's the addicting Leche Flan, Buko Pandan and Halo Halo to satisfy your craving for something sweet at the end of your meal.

I was quite surprised that there's cheese in the both the Buko Pandan Delight and Halo Halo Heaven, but it turned out that it gives an extra oomph to both desserts! Just wow!

See you at The Grill Boy!
